With a patient-first philosophy and over 15 years of dedicated work in the dental field, Dr. May Inaba brings a wealth of experience to every appointment. She is committed to providing personalised, high-quality care that patients can feel confident about. She graduated with a Bachelor of Dental Surgery from James Cook University in Cairns, Queensland, in 2014. During her studies, she built a strong foundation in modern dentistry. Since then, she has worked in both private and public dental clinics, serving diverse communities in regional areas.

During her time in Hervey Bay, Dr. May served as a clinical supervisor for University of Queensland dentistry students, mentoring the next generation of dental professionals. She enjoys all aspects of general and cosmetic dentistry. As a certified Invisalign Provider (2022) and Certified Master of Clear Aligners (2022), she helps patients achieve straighter, more confident smiles.

In 2023, Dr. May completed the Trion Implant Course and successfully placed 30 dental implants, further expanding her clinical skills in implant dentistry. She also earned a Certification in the Management of Temporomandibular Joint Disorders (2023). Her commitment to continuous education reflects her dedication to delivering evidence-based treatment options tailored to each patient’s needs.

Fluent in both English and Japanese, Dr. May is passionate about making patients from all backgrounds feel comfortable and understood throughout their dental journey.

Outside of the clinic, Dr. May contributes her skills to the broader community by volunteering in Brisbane, where she provides essential dental care to patients with refugee status. In her downtime, she enjoys experimenting with new recipes and playing the piano, balancing her professional and personal life with creativity and joy.

Dr. May’s professional memberships and recognitions include long-standing membership with the Australian Dental Association since 2014. She was awarded QIP (Quality Innovation Performance) Accreditation in 2020 and recognised as one of the Three Best Rated Dentists in Tweed Heads in 2025.
